Naar aanleiding van ons project in Betlehem tijdens de kerst van 2004, stond er op 2 januari een artikel in de krant van Betlehem:

A goodbye party for the athletic group at Beit il liqa’ in Beit jala

Bethlehem, at its court in Beit jala city Beit il liqa’ has organised with the companion work of the Basket ball and the football and the volleyball committees teams in the Bethlehem area region a goodbye party for the Dutch athletic in action groups (teams), a number of represents of the clubs and along with a bigger number of sports players, were at that goodbye party event. Some speakers from the Dutch thanked the people that were involved in the project for their great hospitality that they showed for the Dutch group while they were in Bethlehem area, and a speaker mentioned also the high sport spirit that the football, the basketball, and volleyball teams demonstrated when they were playing against the Dutch teams in while they were in Bethlehem area.

The members of the athletic in action teams promised another first by the end of the summer of this year 2005, and within their coming visit they will be meeting and playing against more clubs teams in the Bethlehem area. At that same event, presenting the sports clubs and sports players in Bethlehem area the speakers (Khalil itah) presenting the administration of Islamic sport club in Bethlehem and Ibrahiem Kilyani the coach of the Ibda’ al Diheesheh basketball team, and the famous sport player Imad Jaber who in their speeches and words they thanked the athletic in action groups and their sports teams for their high ethics. At that goodbye party the Dutch group also presented assemblies and performances (on the Dutch way), including singing…. Finally the (athletic in action Holland) group left Bethlehem heading back to Holland yesterday.
